Ocean Exports - Air Exports - Imports

Ocean Exports

The following services are available on all ocean export shipments:

  • Advisory service on all required documentation.
  • International freight quotes, routings, and logistics, including comparison of shipping methods to ensure the most efficient service is used at the lowest cost.
  • Review terms of sale to ensure all parties are aware of their financial responsibilities.
  • Recommendation of a destination agent for clearance and delivery of the cargo if required.
  • Analysis of packing to determine its suitability to protect the cargo during transit.
  • Arrange for collection of the cargo or delivery of the container.
  • Book cargo on the appointed vessel.
  • Issue dock receipt to the inland carrier and coordinate delivery of the cargo to the designated container yard.
  • Review of the packing list against the purchase orders. If any discrepancies are found the shipper will be contacted for a resolution.
  • Complete the ocean bill of lading, export declaration and any other documents required before shipping and forward them to the steamship line for completion and endorsement.
  • Complete and review all documents in accordance with the requirements of the country of destination.
  • Send pre-alert to the consignee or destination agent to allow them the opportunity to initiate clearance procedures prior to the freight arrival.
  • Tracking of shipment detail and destination.
  • Advise shipper transit detail and deviations.
  • Prepare a detailed invoice to the shipper, showing all charges relating to the shipment.
  • If required, we will prepare purchase order reports, cargo status reports and shipment tracking reports, in a format suitable for both parties.

Air Exports

The following services are available on all air export shipments:

  • Advisory service on all required documentation.
  • International freight quotes, routings, and logistics.
  • Review of terms of sale.
  • Recommendation of a destination agent for clearance and delivery of the cargo if required.
  • Analysis of packing to determine it’s suitability to protect the cargo during transit.
  • Arrange for collection of the cargo.
  • Complete a warehouse receipt, indicating the actual weight and dimensions for each piece.
  • Store cargo in an appropriate area in our warehouse.
  • Review of the warehouse receipt against the purchase order. If any discrepancies are found the shipper will be contacted for a resolution.
  • Upon receipt of the freight, customer service will initiate the shipping schedule, air freight routing, and make appropriate booking.
  • If a rate and an approved routing does not exist, customer service will contact the shipper for approval of the routing and charges.
  • After booking, all documents will be prepared in accordance with the requirements of the country of destination.
  • Label and mark freight as necessary.
  • Deliver freight to appointed airline facility.
  • Send pre-alert to the consignee or destination agent to allow them the opportunity to initiate clearance procedures prior to the freight arrival.
  • Tracking of shipment transit to destination.
  • Advise shipper transit details and deviations.
  • Prepare a detailed invoice to the shipper, showing all charges relating to the shipment.

Imports

The following services are available on all import shipments:

  • Advisory service on all required documentation.
  • International freight quotes, routings, and logistics.
  • Review of terms of sale.
  • Establishment of an overseas agent at point of export for control of shipment.
  • Analysis to insure proper duty assessment.
  • Letter of Credit analysis.
  • Advisement on any restrictions or additional duty that may apply.
  • Prompt notification at time of arrival.
  • Review all documents for accuracy.
  • Written and/or verbal notification for import documentation required that is not in our possession.
  • Immediate submission of the U.S. Customs forms needed for clearance.
  • Submit necessary documents to either shipping line or airline for their release of the cargo.
  • Timely delivery by inland carrier.
  • Prompt pick up and delivery of the cargo after Customs release.
  • Tracking of shipment transit to destination.
  • Advise consignee transit details and deviations.
  • Send shipment information to the consignee.
  • Prepare a detailed invoice to the consignee, showing all charges relating to the shipment.
  • If required, we will prepare purchase order reports, cargo status reports and shipment tracking reports, in a format suitable for both parties.
